Foresight Advisory Africa is a multidisciplinary African advisory and knowledge company that combines professional expertise, evidence-based research and innovative technology to deliver practical solutions for governments, institutions and businesses.
Kenya is our operational and administrative base. Our Pan-African ambition is supported by a lean central structure and a growing network of associate consultants and specialist partners. We are developing this network so that multidisciplinary teams can be assembled according to each assignment’s requirements.
Our work is grounded in independence, evidence, professional standards and practical implementation. Taxation, excise administration and public finance provide an important foundation as we broaden our advisory, research, learning and technology-enabled work.
To become a trusted African leader in advisory services, knowledge development and innovative solutions that strengthen institutions and support sustainable development.
To provide independent, evidence-based advisory services, research, professional learning and technology-enabled solutions through a network of experienced specialists.
Foresight Advisory Africa was founded in 2022 by CPA Karambu Muthaura, who spent close to two decades at the Kenya Revenue Authority. Her work there spanned the policy team and budget committee, excise licensing, the digitisation of excise on iTax, the EGMS rollout and the establishment of an enforcement division.
During those years Kenya’s excise system became a regional and global reference point, and she led training and technical exchange for delegations from over 40 countries. She serves on the UN Subcommittee on Health Taxes and has supported WHO since 2013, first from inside government and now through FAA.
Our work connects specialist advisory, research and professional learning, with practical experience in excise policy, health taxes, administration and tobacco control. Assignment teams and scope are shaped around the client’s needs.
Our established experience in tax policy and administration remains central to our work. We retain practical expertise across the life of an excise law, from legislative design to compliance and enforcement.
